Ecologie et chorologie d’une famille de lépidoptères méconnue, les Sesiidae

Abstract : Entomology as it is known today is often restricted to protected species with regulatory status. These statutes specific to insect species will be applied in the design office, in nature conservation associations and structures and even in the context of national inventories managed by the MNHN. But to arrive at such measures, a family must be well studied and understood to apply protection or regulation to a particular species. This memoir will thus allow in future years, to draw up a red list of Sesiidae (Lepidoptera with diurnal activity) of Metropolitan France. The work carried out at the MNHN in Paris was organized around the problem of the biogeography of the species of Sees on the French territory while studying their ecological features. To support this research in a relevant way, the Maxent software was used and exploited in order to corroborate the potential distributions from this software with the data collected in situ. The data retrieved during the field surveys, are data from occurrences resulting from the standardized protocol published in oreina n ° 33 of March 2016: "The attraction of pheromone-based sequences. Towards the elaboration of a standardized protocol (Lep .. Sesiidae) "published by Pascal Dupont and myself. This protocol is also presented and described in this memo. Following the collection of these data, combining those of the INPN and those of GBIF, potential distribution areas were obtained for the 10 species studied. This makes it possible to check the distribution of a species from a theoretical model to the reality on the ground. A color code explains the low or high probability that a species is present or absent from a geographical area. Finally, this work of several years will lead in the near future to a field guide on the identification of species of metas encountered in metropolitan France.
